Member-only story
Over the past couple of months, virtual events and live-streaming has become a new norm among companies and entertainers. We have all had to take a step back and learn how to adjust. There were so many questions we felt needed to be answered in order to make us all more knowledgeable and prepared for the future. We interviewed four individuals in the entertainment and production industries, each with different roles and backgrounds, to get their insight on all things virtual entertainment, events, and live-streaming.
We were so happy to interview Mike Severson with Songwriter City. He has vast experience in the music industry. In 2016, Severson launched Songwriter City, which expertly crafts, customizes, and books premier songwriter-round type experiences for corporate and special events from music’s biggest hitmakers and storytellers. It has allowed Mike to get back to the original reason he moved to Music City — to help, and be an advocate for, artists (check out Mike’s full bio at the bottom of the blog). With his vast experience in the music industry, he gives us great insight into how virtual events can benefit artists and his thoughts on the future of virtual performances. You can find our Q&A style dialogue with Mike below.
